I have always felt the need to create art and started painting as a child with my grandmother. I'm particularly drawn to glass although I still paint abstract pieces and do photography as a hobby. Typically, I don't set out to produce pieces about a specific subject or matter. I draw much of my inspiration from water, the environment, animals and anything abstract. Glass is rewarding, challenging and very frustrating at times. I push the boundaries of what is considered traditional kiln formed glass. I use several different techniques in my work including frit, layering, polishing and sandblasting.
